Now part of an elite group of 25,000 Realtors® across the US, I just completed another professional designation that allows me to assist homeowners that are about to default on their loans or those that already have, even if it appears that the home will go to foreclosure.  This is in addition to the Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) which is another designation obtained in 2009 (please see below).

 

It is predicted that many homeowners will face this very difficult event over the next couple of years or until the market fully recovers. 

 

At the end of 2009 one of my past clients called and asked for my help to save their home due to a hardship in their lives.  I worked with this client and helped them to save their home by agressively working out with their lender a loan modification (a mortgage payment reduction that saves the borrower sometimes hundreds of dollars each month). 

 

Since 2008 I have assisted several homeowners in successful short sales (when there is more owed on the home than the market will bear).  The photo above is one of those homes.  Several of these clients have even purchased another home with more manageable payments quickly and easily with my help.

 Joan Hall has been licensed in real estate in two states: California and Tennessee, and has also worked in the capacity of interior decor design specialist for an office suite company in California. That experience has helped her in many ways, especially first hand real estate experience in Dallas, New Orleans, Denver and Chicago. It affords you the Home Seller with the ability to see your home through the eyes of someone with knowledge of decor and, more importantly, from the perspective of the Buyers.

 

Joan has acquired the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation, with over 60 hours of advanced classroom time.  Keeping up with intellectual technology, she has logged a great number of internet hours achieving the ePRO designation that is held by a small percentage of Realtors.     She has also acquired the ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative).   The ABR designation demonstrates to clients that the agent has taken steps to continue their education in the field of buyer representation, and has the proven experience and training to deliver ethical and professional service to real estate buyers. 

 

With the recent change in real estate across the US, Joan decided it would be valuable to assist her clients with more knowledge of foreclosures and short sales.  So added to the list of her designations is a new class of Realtor certification, the SFR or Short Sales and Foreclosures Resource. 

 

In addition to the SFR obtained in 2009, Joan has added the IRES or International Real Estate Specialist to her designations because of interest in other parts of our world.  Through this group of Realtors® Joan can assist a Buyer or Seller across the US as well as in just about any country outside the US.  If you'd like to know more about this exciting opportunity please contact me.

The rest is history as I moved in just 3 years from Property Manager to my favorite position as a Residential Realtor with my first residential broker, Shorewood Realtors, in the beach cities of Redondo, Hermosa and Manhattan Beach as well as Torrance, Palos Verdes, San Pedro and Long Beach. My husband, daughter and I relocated to Franklin, Tennessee just outside Nashville and I quickly learned Williamson, Rutherford and Davidson as if they were on the back of my hand. It amazes me that even people that have lived in Tennessee for their entire lives have not been down some of the great back roads and territories that I have explored. I have been involved in Middle Tennessee mostly, helping people find homes both as a Listing and Selling Agent. My clients lovingly refer to me as "hard working Joan Hall'".
